Group Accountant – Borås, Sweden

About the Role

As Group Accountant, you will be a key member of our finance team, which consists of one Financial Controller, two Accounting Assistants, and a Controller Manager. You will work closely with and report directly to the CFO. This is a great opportunity for someone aiming to grow into a leadership position such as Finance Manager or CFO in the future.

In this role, you will take overall responsibility for quality and coordination of accounting across the group – covering both the parent company and subsidiaries in Sweden, Norway, Finland, and Denmark.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Preparing monthly and annual financial statements and annual reports
• Performing group consolidation
• Conducting risk and performance analysis based on financial statements
• Managing group taxes and fees
• Improving accounting processes, routines, and system support
• Supporting subsidiaries and business units in accounting matters
• Overseeing liquidity planning within the group
• Acting as point of contact for auditors, banks, and other external stakeholders
• Performing ad hoc analyses and tasks as required by the CFO or wider organization

Who Are We Looking For?

• A university degree in finance or accounting
• Several years of relevant experience, preferably from auditing and/or accounting at a group level in an owner-led company
• Experience with Nordic operations and the retail industry is a plus
• Strong knowledge of Swedish accounting and tax regulations
• Good understanding of reporting standards and business systems
• Fluency in both Swedish and English, written and spoken
