Junior Business Controller – Borås, Sweden

About the Role

As Junior Business Controller, you’ll become an important member of our finance team, working closely with our Controller Manager, COO, and CFO. You’ll be involved in both operational and strategic tasks, with significant opportunities to grow your career within business controlling and development.

You’ll support purchasing and sales operations across all our Nordic markets – Sweden, Norway, Denmark, and Finland – and play a central role in driving analysis, reporting, and improvements.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting the creation of budgets, forecasts, and business plans aligned with group strategy
• Analyzing financial performance, KPIs, and business results
• Monitoring and reporting on inventory, purchasing, sales, and margins
• Proposing and following up on actions to improve profitability and purchasing performance
• Leading key projects related to the purchasing department
• Working to enhance overall business and financial performance
• Ensuring high standards in tools, processes, and reporting systems
• Performing ad-hoc analysis and tasks as needed
• Acting as a superuser for our replenishment system (Relex)
• Conducting external reporting for purchasing-related areas
• Developing and improving reports in Power BI

Who We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone who wants to be part of a supportive and motivated team. You enjoy collaboration and taking initiative. To succeed in this role, we believe you have:

• A university degree in business, finance, or a related field
• A few years of relevant work experience, preferably in retail or e-commerce
• Experience working with BI tools (e.g., Power BI or Qlik)
• A strong understanding of business systems and purchasing processes
• Fluent communication skills in both Swedish and English (spoken and written)

As a person, you're calm, detail-oriented, and thrive in dynamic environments. You're analytical by nature, communicate clearly, and enjoy taking responsibility. You are also comfortable working independently as well as in a team, and you naturally take on an advisory role within your area of expertise.
