Assistant Store Manager, Oslo, Norway
Work closely with the Store Manager and take part in daily operations.
About the Role
As Assistant Store Manager for our Oslo store, Tech Hall by Scandinavian Photo, you will work closely with the Store Manager and take part in daily operations. Tech Hall is organized into three departments: the store team, the customer service center, and B2B. You will work closely with all three, and your most important task is to ensure that sales actually happen.
This means you won’t be sitting in the back room, you must enjoy being right in the thick of it, talking to customers, coaching your colleagues on the spot, and sharing the hunger to hit our targets. We expect you to be proactive and take initiative without waiting for instructions; you see what needs to be done, you do it, and you bring the rest of the team along with you.
Your tasks include, among other things:
- Supporting the Store Manager in daily operations and assisting across the three departments wherever the need is greatest.
- Actively following up on sales results and setting high standards for the customer experience, whether in-store, in B2B meetings, or in dialogue with customers at the service center.
- Coaching employees in the art of sales by working alongside them in their day-to-day routines.
- Identifying bottlenecks in the sales flow and actively taking steps to resolve them.
Your Profile
You are a communicative, driven, and proactive professional who enjoys working at a fast pace and thrives with responsibility. You have a genuine interest in helping both customers and colleagues succeed. Structured enough to maintain a solid overview, you are also fearless enough to take on difficult conversations when necessary. Furthermore, you don't view numbers and data simply as a control tool, but rather as a roadmap showing what is working and what isn't.
Requirements and Qualifications
- At least two years of experience working in sales-oriented retail or a similar environment.
- Leadership experience is a strong advantage.
- Fluent in Norwegian with a good command of English.
